Meet a farmer over your lunch hour! We've invited several farmers, food producers, and agricultural business owners to join Executive Director Dorothy Suput for a bite-sized chat about what it's like running a farm business during a pandemic, building a just and resilient farm and food system, and more.
More farmers are invited. Stay tuned for the full lineup!
Gather with old friends and meet fellow supporters for a fun night getting to know one another. BYO festive beverage - we recommend Bug Hill Farm's Black and Blue Shrub! Our guide for the evening is networking maestro Matthew Richter.
Join chef Julia Shanks as she demonstrates a delicious seasonal meal with local produce. When you register, you'll receive a recipe, a list of seasonal produce you can get at your favorite farm or farmer's market, and prep instructions if you'd like to cook along with Julia. You could win a copy of Julia's "The Farmer's Market Cookbook"!
This spring, three incredible farmers shared what the first few weeks of the pandemic meant for them and their businesses. We're honored to welcome Meg Galeucia and Janet Steward back, as they share how the summer went and what they're seeing now on the ground in this intimate conversation. Aaron Niederhelman, host of the widely-listened podcast "Sourcing Matters", will facilitate the conversation.
The drawing includes caramels from Fat Toad Farm, cordials and shrubs from Bug Hill Farm, kimchi and pickles from Hosta Hill Farm, cheeses from Balfour Farm, a copy of Julia Shanks's "Farmers Market Cookbook", and more. See the full listing of goodies in the drawing, and make your gift today.
